Early build · v0.1.0
Get on the island.
One file, nothing to install, no account. Unzip it anywhere and double-click. Your saves go in a folder next to it.
Windows
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
A zip with the game in a folder. The first start builds your island, which takes a few seconds; after that it's straight in.
v0.1.0 · 64-bit · DirectX 12 or Vulkan
The first time you run it
This build isn't signed yet, so Windows will say it protected your PC. That's it being normal.

- 2Then Run anyway
- 3It won't ask again.
Mac and Linux: not yet. The game is built to run on both; the packaging is what's left.

What's new
Lately, on the island.
-
The trailer's jet comes in low along the canyon road and banks past the camera, which pans after it
-
The game films its own trailer, and tools/trailer.py cuts it to a score played on the game's instruments
-
In a job's yellow light and nothing happening? It says why; and a lost work vehicle ends the shift
-
Normal FM gets two new songs, and every station runs its songs into each other instead of cutting
-
Taxi fares (and paramedic calls) wait somewhere you can pull up, not on a tunnel's roof
-
Interstate 0's shield, and SPEED LIMIT 65, a little way into every stretch of it
-
American towns get American speed limit signs
-
Amsterdammertjes along the kerbs in the middle of the Dutch village
-
Bus stops in every town, each with its own country's sign, and town signs that give way
-
White bicycles on Gewoondorp's fietspaden
-
Roads that have been driven on: manhole covers in the streets, repair patches and crack sealing out of town
-
A felled street or park tree stays felled after loading (the town has cleared it away)
-
Old oaks keep their trunks off the asphalt, and roadside posts snap off instead of stopping a car
-
The road survey's contact sheets, kept with the game (tools/survey_sheets.py)
